Bales of 1,000-count polypropylene bags, 14"x26", with free delivery anywhere in the lower 48. Choose from dark forest green, high visibility orange, desert tan or classic white. These tubular bags have double-stitched bottom seams, tie strings, 10x10 weave, 850 denier & are treated with 1600 hour UVI (ultraviolet inhibitors). Each individual bale contains ten bundles of 100 bags, weighs about 75 lbs. and will fit in most cars' back seat or trunk.
1000 filled bags would provide approx. 250 square feet of coverage, adequate for building, say, a 10'x10'x8' structure or a 10-foot high, 25-foot long wall.
Please take note that these bags are lab-rated at sea level for an average 6 month lifespan. This will actually depend upon how much of the sun's UV and IR they're exposed to; high altitude can result in higher levels & shorten their lifespan. They're best suited for temporary use. Store them out of the sun before use, and once deployed keep them covered if possible to extend their lives. If you're using them for earthbag building, you should plan on getting them plastered or stuccoed sooner rather than later.
Bags can hold up to about 50 lbs. of fill. When they've reached the end of their lifespan, they can be recycled with common household plastics (resin ID code 5).
Weight per bale is approx. 85 lbs. each. Dimensions are approx. 30"L x 16"W x 12" high; one bale fits comfortably in a car trunk or a back seat.
You must have or arrange a physical address for delivery; these do not ship to PO boxes. Shipping is via UPS or FedEx (average 3-5 business days). Free shipping is only for the lower 48 and is not available to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada or abroad.
